Fixed Pile Docks
Traditional piling-and-decking docks for stable shorelines and consistent depths. Long service life with proper materials.
Custom docks, floating systems, seawalls, and boat lifts built for Lake Marion's water, weather, and permitting โ by a family that has worked these lakes for 40+ years.
Lake Marion is the largest lake in South Carolina โ roughly 110,000 acres stretching across Orangeburg, Clarendon, Calhoun, Sumter, and Berkeley counties. It is the northern half of the Santee Cooper reservoir system, connected to Lake Moultrie by the Diversion Canal.
It is also a working lake. Santee Cooper manages water levels for power generation and flood control, which means the lake can rise and fall several feet per season. Stumps, shallow flats, and shifting shoreline are everyday realities. A dock that works on a private pond will not work here.
We have been building docks, seawalls, and boat lifts on Lake Marion since the 1980s. We know which coves turn to mud in the summer draw-down, which shorelines require riprap before a dock ever goes in, and which areas the Army Corps, DHEC, and Santee Cooper will approve a new structure in.
Traditional piling-and-decking docks for stable shorelines and consistent depths. Long service life with proper materials.
The right call for most Lake Marion properties โ the dock rises and falls with Santee Cooper's managed water levels.
Hydraulic and electric lifts sized for pontoons, bass boats, ski boats, and cruisers. Keeps hulls out of the water.
Concrete, vinyl sheet pile, and riprap walls to stop shoreline erosion before the lake takes your yard.
Private and commercial concrete ramps graded for the lake's water level range.
Replace rotting decking, failed pilings, worn hardware, or entire structures built by someone who did not know the lake.
Every new dock, seawall, or boat lift on Lake Marion requires approval โ usually from both SCDHEC (Critical Area / Navigable Waters) and Santee Cooper (as the reservoir operator). A single misstep can delay a project by months.
We walk every client through the permitting process from the first site visit. We prepare the drawings, measurements, and property documentation the agencies need. On most residential projects we handle the entire permit package so you never have to figure out which form goes where.
